Wiener Linien Day 2026

The Wiener Linien (Vienna public transportation) and the MAK invite you to explore the two redesigned MAK Permanent Collections VIENNA 1900—Everyday. A Total Work of Art and TEXTILES AND CARPETS. Experience one of the most famous chapters in art history: The Permanent Collection VIENNA 1900, designed by artist Markus Schinwald, provides a spectacular stage for the MAK’s outstanding holdings of Viennese Modernism. More than 700 objects offer a cross-section of the heyday of applied arts.

The MAK Textiles and Carpets Collection is among the most valuable and extensive of its kind worldwide. The new Permanent Exhibition, redesigned by Formafantasma, brings together objects dating from Late Antiquity to the present, ranging from European to East Asian textiles.

Tip: This might be your last chance to visit the exhibition HELMUT LANG. SÉANCE DE TRAVAIL 1986–2005, which will only be on show until 3.5.2026.
